With everyone in Australia obsessed with brown eggs I thought it would be fun to ask

"Which breeds of chicken lay the whitest eggs."

I didn't think of them but I have seen some very white eggs yes you might be right there. I think theres more Leghorns varieties that lay very white eggs than any other

My Silver Spangled Hamburg x Modern Game lays snow white eggs and plenty of them.... or maybe they only look snow white compared to our green, blue, cream and brown eggs..... :-?

I would have to go with leghorns also some of their eggs are so white you need sunnies to look at them

My leghorns lay stark white eggs so my vote is for them as I have no experience with the other breeds

As most of my flock a cross breeds it's had to give an opinion but it would seem Leghorn or Minorcas

I was told that all "white lobed" chooks lay white eggs such as Leghorns, Minorcas, Anconas etc. I find that a black Minorca beside a white egg makes the egg look even "whiter". I'd say Leghorns, Monorcas and Anconas are all on a par.
