I see occasionaly pheasants in the wild, (at least i think they are) are they native? and does anybody keep them? or have photos?

People think the Pheasant Coucal when they see it is a pheasant and it does look like one but its not. I know there are 'common' pheasants considered to be wild pheasants but I would not call them australian pheasants

I have seen wild rings not far from my place but they would be escapees or dumped

I was told by the man at the zoo that the coucal pheasant was a pheasant but that seems to be not true.

Tell him he needs to google them and see I think their name gives it away pheasant coucal and not coucal pheasant
