Just thought I would ask how all the breeders in Aust were going with breeding of Java's for 2012. I have 3 peachicks as of yesterday and 4 eggs to go with the hope of 2 hatching working on my average of 50% which I know is not good. How would you guys improve the hatch rate if you were me.

The forum is great and I need to thank a member from byc for recommending it to me as I was not happy with that forum.

They lay less than half the eggs of IB and reluctant to sit on them so artificial is the best option as is common practice

Do you let your javas raise their own young? I have been reading the forum and it sounds like most of you donot so are they not good mothers?

Mine were hatched in an incubator as I tried many times with the java hen but found they are not good at all
