One of my peahens is quite noisy right now I am thinking she want to get out of the coop to go off and breed in the nearby bush. Is there anything I can do to calm her and get her to breed in the coop

When you say noisy is she honking or making a more grunt sound and passing? are her wings down [drooped]? how old is the peahen?

Yes its was like a grunt sound and yes her wings were touching the ground and I know why now as an eggs appeared and now she has calmed again. Sorry I am on such a learning curve with these guys. Thanks very much for the help

I can vouch for the fox food thats what happened to both my hens last year, so this year the hens are staying inside no matter what

Mine has conveniently decided to lay in one of the sheds . Probably not fox proof but its better than out in the fields. BTW how many eggs before they decide to sit ?
