Has anyone had a peahen change colours and grow male feathers and a tail?

My almost 10 year old peahen has begun to change colour and grow feathers just like my peacocks. She also fans her tail like a male. Is it possible for peahens to change sex?

I have taken photos and can post as soon as I learn how to reduce their size. :0)

Thanks,

Hi Cordelia & Pam,

The peahen in the photographs is almost 10 years old, (as mentioned in my original posting), has been a female for all of that time, laid eggs, had peachicks and just recently begun growing male feathers. That is why I posted my message and photographs as I wondered if anyone had experienced something similar, she is not a juvenile male, but thanks for your interest and comments. Much appreciated.
