Well as I was one of the members that made statements about the voting last comp I probably should say something.... WITHOUT OPENING A CAN OF WORMS.....

and no it has not been an ongoing thing for me,I just didn't even look at the Oct entries at all (still haven't).

I still think the entries should be anon OR only one vote per member per day...just to keep things a bit fair. Maybe also the winner in the preceding comp shouldn't enter the following month (ie winner January can't enter February).

Apologies CL if my comments last month took the gloss off your win and anyone still carrying on about it is just being pathetic IMO.

Don't change a thing admin, the comp is all above board and we can see the votes so no 'bogus' voting goes on ;)

I probably won't do a flurry of votes at the end of the next one (if I'm still here).

No intended or impending reason. Just that people come and people go, circumstances change. I may simply not be an active member for whatever reason. The comment was not intended to mean anything bad.

Just my two cents worth.

1) For starters love the photo comp, think it's fantastic way of getting us of our bottoms and taking pics to show off our feathery friends. I'm sure you can tell I'm a very proud mum who'll bombard you with pics ;) . Also had great fun taking them. A big thank you to the admin for running it. I'm a member of multiple forum community interest groups and it's a great incentive to involve members of the community.

2) (If I understand from concerns posted correctly) If people feel uncomfortable voting on the basis of who took the photo maybe it would be best if it becames a private vote with private pictures, although I would hope it doesn't need to come to this. I personally voted for my favourite pics, this took me a very long time because I wrote a list, it was VERY difficult to pick.

3) I voted once, I hope that's OK. I was under the impression you could only vote once  . But I REALLY enjoyed looking at your poultry, I don't think there was one bird there that I wouldn't love to take home.

4) I second the not submitting if you've already won the previous month. It'll give all members a fair chance of showing off their feather family and winning.

My opinion is that previous winners should continue to be able to submit photos to subsequent comps.

This will continue to encourage healthy competition and ensure there are plenty of photos.

So well put fuzzy, I don't agree with 4) but everything else I do. Private votes/Hiding votes is dodgy and its not right.

I don't agree with hidden or private votes, I think voting should remain the same , but still anonymous using only a number like OCT20 - 1 etc.
