Whats wrong with my Fav pullet?

Thanks for all the helpful advice. I have quarantined her away from the others, she was only running with the other favs and Australorps she travelled with, away from my other chooks. I contacted the breeder, and she has been immunised, and wormed, but of course this is no guarantee. Since they have all been immunised, should i treat the other birds she travelled with still? Thankss again!

I would treat all the birds she travelled with as it spreads very quickly.
She sounds too skiny.
Would follow what everyone else discussed.

Hi all, she appeared healthy again in two days, so i thought it must just have been stress from the move...... but big no no, i went away for a day to escape floods, came back home and the other faverolle pullet has a hugely swollen eye, all horrible looking, and she reeks severely, took her to the vet, she wasn't sure on the medication, is getting me some tomorrow after she asks someone, i wasn't sure but i did mention Tylan but i read the sticky on swollen eye, and i'm now sure it's CRD, so Baytril is the best?!? Checked on the others housed with them, and the Australorp cockrell also has puss at the bottom of both his eyes. They are housed approx 20 mtrs from my cross bred flock, and some Langshans, but free ranged with a fence seperating them. Occasionally some smaller ones get through the fence though, and the Wyandottes (laying hens) that travelled from the same breeder are over with the flock, in a seperate cage, but free ranged with the others, they still appear healthy though, and don't have the smell. AAARRRGGGHHHH what to do? Should i treat the Wyandottes as well? Are the eggs from my cross breds safe to eat as i sell these? Would hate to poison somebody. They all appear fine.... So did the splash pullet. i think i will just stick to incubating eggs from now on :cry:

Hi Livmychooks, you should treat any and all that have or may have come in contact with the infected birds. There is a withholding period with all Antibiotic so don't eat them after treatment.

Thanx PA Are the birds going to be alright (once they are treated and look well) to take to shows, or will they be carriers of the disease and spread it to the other birds? Also they are young, and very skinny, will they recover and be viable for breeding later on, or pass it on to their chicks? Or can i just treat the chicks once they're born?
