hi
iam new to breeding poultry and would like to know what i have to Vaccinate my chicks with went the are day and on woods so i can sale them as day or older as i want to sale very good chick i can or older ones. thanks

If you feed them turckey starter they will get vaccinated from the food

No there is nothing in the turkey starter that would vaccinate them. Most starter rations have a coccidiostat in them which controls coccidiosis until such a time as the bird can cope with the disease.

To my mind the one disease that you need to seriously consider vaccination for is Marek's disease. This is because it can and most likely will kill a proportion of chicks. Best to google Marek's disease for more information about this awful thing. Some breeds are more resistant than others and there is an active debate going on as to which vaccine to use.

The second most important disease that vaccination is available for and which occurs regularly in backyard flocks is fowl pox. This disease is spread by mosquitos and causes depression and black scabs all over the head. Birds do however generally recover OK from this disease, so I don't bother to vaccinate mine.
