Julie they are 18 odd months old and I did worm them before winter but not since so I will do them again, thanks for the reminder, yes their combs are nice and red and they are all healthy. I do have good news to add I did get 3 eggs yesterday so hopefully the drought has broken

When the hens first come back laying from their winter break are the eggs smaller at first like when they first start to lay at 17 weeks. Many of the eggs I am getting are bantam size?

I don't know the definite answer michael but so far 1 of my rir has laid 4 small egg in a row so not sure how long it goes on for?
