We could never be bored with chooks hey? [smilie=a_chuckle.gif]

You may not need to (if you haven't already) as the new pen might mean a re-establishment in the pecking order, so expect some squabbling to still be going on during a initial settling period.

You're so right D, Bored of chooks....pfft....NEVER, NEVER, NEVER!

Yes..its weird, they go days where all is calm and then the Isa's start jumping all over the two bantams and flairing up making all sorts of noises but, seconds later all well again....all six seem so happy and look well so I will let them be....

You know you're situation has made me think that if I was ever to put another flock together that would entail having Bantums & standards (like Isas) I would establish the Bantums first & maybe 6 mths later get the Isa's.

I wonder if the age thing is a factor with the bossy boots Isa's, as I have heard of Bantums ruling the roost before, so maybe it's just a factor of she who is there first rules conf665

True Chicka..so as much as I would love my Partridge Precious to have babies I do worry that the three bitchy Isas will make life too difficult for the babies....my husband would stab me in the face if Isuggested a separate pen...final straw that would be...but seeing your babies has made me very clucky...xxxxxx

Not always dear

Henrietta was Queen just before Harriet arrived and she lost her crown to Harriet.
Just because Harriet was a very ultra bossy chookie and they are both Isa's
They are now best of friends since Harriet's illness that she has bow recoved from.
