Some times my Isa's ho to bed with out having a full crop or even having a half full pne.

It was Charlotte last night and whats more odd is they had tuna yesterday for Grace,
Tuna is also what helped Harriet when she was going to bed with out filling her crop.

This does make me wounder is it their food do they need mash or is it their age

Charlotte Harreit and Prisilla are the three remaining ex battery birds
not sure why Grace Ruby and Henrietta are better off then the others.

on hot days they get a water melon and crozen fruit in their water bowl as well as plenty of greens.

could it be worms aging

I have no way of knowing but no one lays every day now
Late November and Dec till the other 6 arrived
Grace Ruby and Henrietta were laying every day

But having a guess on the other remaining three

if exbattery are sold at after one year or even at the second then I think that
Harriet Charlotte and Priscilla could be two or three

Harriet lays white eggs even thought she has coloured earlobes I think she has eds

At 2-3 years the commercial breeds are old age. Their crop should be full at nightfall like all birds are they eating before they roost?

They seem to eat in the mornings and middle of the day befor bed some ofthem will eat a little but still the crops feel like saggy sack like with nothing or little in them no one but the young rooster has a full feed any more.
Its like the food is bypassing the crop or its no longer working.

Felt all the crops last night some are a bit better but still not full enough.

I have tried hard boiled egg at 5.00pm but makes no difference they seem to not be hungry when most normally are so its got to be an old age thing
