Hi,

Really hoping there's someone out there that's experiencied this before.

This is how Tara is behaving at the moment. She's a Pekin duckling, approx. 4 months old. Rescued from a duck farm. It's as if she's drunk and can't stay upright. Ends up on her back with legs moving. I've noticed she also has a tremble going at the same time.

Things I've tried over the past 24 hours since this raised it's head are:
Epsom salts in case it was poisining of some description - note that her other 5 siblings are ok and have all been fed the same.
Loaded dose of spinach and leafy greens in case it's calcium deficiency.
Natural antibiotics in case it's some sort of infection.

I haven't tried electrolytes 'nor warm baths as I don't think she's egg bound given they haven't started laying yet.

Can someone please help? Really grateful for any advice or thoughts or experience of the same/similar at the moment. Vet out of town for the weekend and difficult to get her into see another.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Nexthenz - initially thought some sort of poisoning but we don't use snail bite or other like chemicals. I've had it diagnosed on another forum. Riemerella anatipestifer Infection (new ducks disease). Starting treatment today. Fingers crossed.

Thankyou for responding - grateful.
