Hi folks, one of my sussex hens has not laid for awhile and this morning I noticed she had a lump on her bum that is a little red and about the size of a grape, what could it be? and what to do? she is eating and dinking enough I think so she seems healthy, any help would be great. thanks ben1

Could you please possibly take a photo of the affliction and post it?

Thank you, kindly 52.gif

It could be a tumour conf665 or she could have been vent pecked and the area has become inflamed and infected conf665

hi Ben, yep we need to see the problem area. The more photos you can post for us the better.

So far we could only guess. Like PP said it could be that she's been vent picked and that might be an infected feather end or maybe she has a prickle that's got in and caused an infection or it could be a cyst.

We won't know unless you can get us a better look.

Oh BTW welcome2.gif

Cheers
