What causes a pasty bottom and how is it treated?

Little Misty had a pasty bottom, she was wormed last week. I have washed it with warm water using face washer and dried her fluffy butt. The weather has been wet and miserable :(

Thank you, kindly 52.gif in advance for your input and advice.

Thank you, kindly 52.gif for all your responses.

Thank you, kindly 52.gif to our off line chookie friends who have also provided information such as

Possible causes:
52.gif Too much rich food
52.gif Not enough fibre in their diet
52.gif Not enough dirt to dust bath in
52.gif Stress factors
52.gif Mites/Lice

Treatments include:
52.gif Wash butts with warm water using facewasher, dry off, smear vent with Vaseline or olive oil and keep chook warm and out of draughts.
52.gif Give them good enzymes/probiotics for their their digestive tract such as probiotic yoghurt.
52.gif Access to grit
52.gif Apple cider vinegar in their water
52.gif Sprinkle garlic granules in their food

Misty has been a bit miffed since the chicks have arrived, even Lady Frances has gone off lay.

Thank you, kindly 52.gif for asking Yas, poor Lady Frances was egg bound so I have been very busy caring for her.

She had a warm bath, some olive oil and a massage and the egg finally came out.
