Hello from Brisbane - advice of any sort please.
I have four chooks, two Australorps and two Isa Browns, all less than a year old. They have been happy and healthy to date and all producing well. They have a fenced coop area, with a lockable, former aviary for night care. I regularly let them out to free range in a large garden. Now one of the Isas has become very listless and is evidently losing condition rapidly. Her comb has flopped over to one side, she walks around very slowly, wings slightly raised. After four or five steps, she just flops onto the ground - as if she is ever so weary. She is still eating, though not as vigorously as her mates who all seem in the best of health. When she flops to the ground she pecks around. Her poo isn't unusual. One of the Australorps has a bit of diarrhoea recently, but it didn't seem to bother her. I have now wormed all four, given the coop an extra clean out, dusted for mites ... but she's not responding yet. They get the best quality grain supplemented with greens etc. Any ideas?
