There is too much blood in their droppings for our liking, are they still looking healthy and eating/drinking?

Thanks

Hi Peter, we recommend you get the Sulpha D and start treating them A.S.A.P. Sulpha D is a treatment for COCCIDIOSIS and ENTERITIS although we prefer Sulphaquin, we must say that Sulpha D has worked well for a very long time. It's still widely used by Parrot, Budgie and Finch breeders.

Thanks

OKay, ive got it,
It says for treatment of coccidiosis of cage birds, so i hope it works on chooks,
to give it to parrots it says 3-4 drops directly to the beak and 12 drops for every 30ml of water for 7-10 days (similar for canaries)
then it also says
"general Instructions" - give in the drinking water once a week 25ml per Litre of water, as a preventative for diarrhoea.
SO should i use the "general instructions"???

Peter

Hi Peter, go with the General Instructions, but treat them for 3 days and as they are young birds, on day 2 & 3 half the dose rate. You may need to repeat this 7 days later, but only if blood continues in their droppings.

Thanks
P.A

Hi Peter, if they are back in the brooder, then put it in now. If not take the water away 4 hours before you begin treatment. Remember when you begin treating them it must be the only source of water.

P.S The Medicated starter is only a booster for the immune system so it's no guarantee, unfortunately

Thanks
