Is it worth buying a molting supplement food such as kaytee it has, Granite Grit, Oyster Shell, Calcium Carbonate, Dicalcium Phosphate, Salt, Charcoal, Mineral Oil, Orange Oil, Zinc Oxide, Manganous Oxide, F id it worth the xtra supplement? |

Hi All A classic mistake made by many poultry keepers is to cut out the high protien feed during the moult. I often get "they are off the lay so it's not worth feeding high protien". Growing new feathers takes a lot protien, so keep your chooks well fed during the moult and they will reward you by comming back into lay sooner rather than later. Regards Ian |
