I have a little bantam chook that is about 8yrs old and still goes clucky twice a year.
Her home is a cat crate on top of the cockatoo's cage at night.
When she goes clucky I steal a couple of eggs from the chook house and put them under her.
When the chickens hatch I put her and the chicks in the aviary with the cockatiels. Her crate is t in the corner and she sleeps in there until I can put her in the run (when the chicks are big enough) until the chicks are old enough to be on their own. Then she comes back to us. She won't live with the chooks.
I have never had a problem with the birds coexisting but the cockatiels have not bred, so I don't know what she would do. The chook is only in there twice a year anyway.
I guess I would not take the chance in case a parrot chick falls out of the nest or takes a nosedive.

Some chooks really do think they are not chooks and love the human company.

Sorry to ad that she chose to stay in the chook run when she found out that there was only one rooster. He was a real gentle boy and never worried her.
She was later taken by something and I have never seen her since.
We had her for about nine years. I can't remember her breed but she was little.
In the last couple of weeks the old rooster passed on. I was sad to see him go. He was a GLW.

I have pictures on the gallery. He is in the small run with a couple of ducks and drakes.
I would love to get another one but I ended up keeping the young sussex boy.

Well I don't know what happened to the rest of my photos. I did have one of him there, I am sure. I will load one soon.
