Hi Groovy welcome2.gif

You should be able to calculate the cost yourself.

Just look at your power bill & see how much your daily cost charge is & your average kw usage is per day & then find out how may watts your incubator is, and go fom there.

It really isn't hard to do the sums on how much an appliance costs you (approximately) per hour/day.

Also, next time try and put a bit more description in your post, because "one of these incubators" doesn't really explain the type you have.

The people on this forum are really, really helpful, but if you don't give them enough information, then you may not get the answer you are looking for, or an answer at all.

Cheers
Chicka-Dee

Hi Groovy and [smilie=welcome.gif]

My incubator is a Janoel JN8-48 and it costs me under $20 for the 21-23 days of incubation.

Yeah. My power went off briefly during the incubation (which reset my gauge) so I had to estimate a bit but I think it would be even less that that. $1 is a nice easy number to calculate though. :-D Different incubators would give you other results.

If you ring your power company and tell them the power input they will tell you what it will use per hour
