muscovy are real friendly.... i kept them for years and as long as you treat them nicely they are like little dogs that follow you around and are always under your feet.

no experience with runner ducks to share. apart from watching them in a duck show once parading duck clothes. lol

Sorry but you are going to have to get small and loud or big and quiet :)
Calls and black east indies are loud but muscovys are quiet and would love to eat your garden beds

Nice to see you coming over to the duck world

Hi to all our Duckie fans
I was horrified that people dump their ducks th_Noooo.gif
How can people be so cruel and heartless..... :x
I just don't get some people at all.
I had a lady here a couple of weeks ago who had started a group to adopt battery hens and the authorities stopped her. :(
SOME PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE PETS OR ANIMALS AT ALL....
This really saddened me, those poor little critters....

Hi There
I have only just gotten into duckies and I have to admit that the info on the Indian Runners is pretty spot on.
They can be highly strung my Indian runner girls are, do they do sedatives for ducks sidesplit.gif but the Khaki boys are such characters and their new girls (the dark Khaki girls) are settling in really quickly.
In the evenings we go to the dam and yell out to the boys "common you lot get to bed" chuck a very small clod behind them in the water and off they go.
They know the drill.
I was tickled pink this morning as the Khaki girls have discovered bread a_bravo.gif
Our boys that we have are very much the characters but still dont do bread after having been her for nearly 4 months :o
They all have their own personalities that is for sure but the Indian Runner girls are and can be very noisy.
But Hey our new neighbour bought the 5 acres next door off us and promptly built her house right behind what was once my 3 stables, day yards and feed shed which is now poultry pens.... th_Noooo.gif [smilie=a_withstupid.gif]
So she will have to learn to like the honk, crow and all the above that goes with it....
We love it th_clap.gif

I have read of dwarfism in call ducks and heard of some being half the normal size but not seen them first hand
