Does any one have silky ducks in Australia?
have seen them on google...

I dont think so, but i could be wrong as Oz is such a big place......

Short answer is no but I have been told they WERE here at some stage but were killed off by predators?

if they were here ,it's a good chance the silky genes are in a mallard or bantam duck flock somewhere?

I know of a farm that has all sorts of different breeds many not common so I will see if he has them. He does not mix with other breeders or use the internet so he's a bit like a hermit

Another thought "could the genes also exist in any other mallard derived duck" ?

i.e " a big shaggy runner or campbell in oz somewhere" ?
