i was speaking to a lady in america recently who had an interesting theory. bronzes or sepia are very rare over there and she had a big flock and is knowledgable on genetics. she has bred a bronze duck when she has never had the gene before. her theory is that she has just mutated the bronze gene naturally. it might be possible that if you breed enough muscovy that it just happens? i dont know, there seem to be a few accounts around of chocolates being is australia, with all the extra knowledge getting around online if its here i'm sure it'll pop up soon.
