Hey guys, just seeing if there is a such thing as pied chinese geese. iv bred some that are more brown and huge white patches like pied.

what do you all think?

If they are only young the white will probably molt out when they reach maturity

This is a picture of parents. Young are more brown with huge patches of white.

I will gets ome more today. :) they are really cool. The Male only has a few brown spots on him, but the bubs that have been bred are brown with huge big white patches.

Yes there are pieds in geese but they are not referred to as pied per say its the same in many duck breeds (domestic) they are usually referred to as say blue and white or black and white ect... but they are pieds as the base on most is white with domestics like muscovy

yes there is such a thing
not really atractive IMO
i believe the pied gene was introduced when a cross was done with the brown china and a white eruopean bird..
this cross was the first step in developing the white china in Aust as i understand
and there is one well known goose breeder that i know of that claims to be the pioneer of the white china we now have..
the pied chinas i've seen are of the brown colouring with big white patches on them

there is also another colour known as molted or dalmation
