You have to watch them when they breed they are nasty buggers I have them across the road and we don't feed them when they have cygnets

For most native waterfowl to be kept in NSW you require an Advanced Bird Licence (B2)

This is a Class 2 Licence which is only available to people over the age of 18 who have at least 2 years proven experience of keeping birds.

The website will direct you to the relevant application forms and contact details, although it is not a particularly easy to navigate site and you may find it easier ringing the department directly if you become confused.
