it seems to be the same old thing as chocolate, same answers, "yep they are around" but there's no proof! no one is willing to say "yes, i have them and they breed genetically true, here's some photo's.

Could be they are worried about having them stolen? I have friends that have rare fowls but will never tell anyone they do its just the way it is with fowl theft on the rise

OFF TOPIC - but
have you looked at my site yet?
not waterfowl but yes - Choc - and many have seen the current birds BUT NOT AT MY PLACE - I run a closed community and do not tell anyone where I live

and DONT bring the colour into this conversation OR start another as another forum is BASHING the crud out of this colour atm = leave it to them
AND = I will ask for it to be deleted as those WITH the colour don’t need the shite

now - back on topic = Lavender Muscovy
the woman whose birds I saw lives/d in Llandilo NSW - no idea if she still does as a White pages search came up blank and the number I have for her is disconnected - assuming she has moved

my comment about chocolate was referring to chocolate muscovy, again referring to another thread on it in this forum"brown muscovy" . completely innocent. i have no idea whats going on about the topic in other forums, and being that they are different forums you'd think they are irrelevent to this one.

forums being so moderated like this is why people are leaving them and going to facebook. settle down.

now - back on topic = lavender muscovy

its just frustrating for me trying to find out what is actually out there in regards to muscovy genetics because the names of the colours are so frequently thrown about and wrong. and, if the colour is so rare why not try make then not so rare?

This is so true Ian and it seem to be getting worse people are just making up names for established colours. I also wish we could find out what is out there but the world as it is today I think most just want the fly under the radar. Also we have seen [not here] where someone shows a new colour/mutation on another site and is attacked, bullied and criticized for it so I guess that also put others off coming forward on any site. Like the saying "one rotten apple spoils the crop"

Yes until one is accidentally outed or they just give up and ‘come out’ with what they have just to shut others up

Are the blue and white muscovy's really lavender and white I ask because the ones I have seen are very light and look like lavender to me?
