We've had two large ducks (two fully grown swedish) just vanish! Now we have any predator under the sun from eagles to foxes. We always thought that our ducks would be safe because of their size, and seeing as only 2 vanished, we just can't figure out what could have done this. Haven't seen any of the eagles around, a fox would have taken more and well if that was a snake, that's one huge snake  so can anyone help me with preventative measures? or firgure out what this thing is?

It will be a fox they don't alway take them all as we discovered BUT they will come back we lost 5 muscovy ducks over 8 days and it was only 1 at a time taken after the fifth duck was taken we purchased a trap and locked up all the other ducks for a week and set the trap near the dam on the 3rd day we when to check and we caught the fox needless to say he was killed very quickly now we lock the ducks away at night and I let them out after the suns up

We too have lost 3 full grown ducks to bloody foxes now I leave the dogs off the chains at night and early morning and that seem to keep the foxes away so far
