Hi all, I have two geese sitting and one laying. The white goose sitting on 8 eggs had a rather large long egg. It was a double yolker.
The young goose laying also had a double yolker. I of course removed them and they will make a great omelette.
Any one else getting doubles this year?

Hi Bill, will post one. I haven't eaten them yet. I fried my first goose egg a long time ago. It was like a very large duck egg in taste and the white was thick and strong. I put toast on the dinner plate and couldn't see the toast at all.

What do you all do with your goose and duck eggs.

A young lass (chef) here in Qld used my duck eggs and made a pavlova, she said it was so light and fluffy so to speak and held together so well. She also made a sponge and couldn't believe the difference.
Another lady mad a sponge for me in return for a dozen. It was so good.

I now have my first eight goslings hatch 3 days ago. So cute. I guess I have some photos to take for my brag book. 2 other girls still sitting and 3 ducks too.

Not yet, never thought about weighing them. I haven't eaten them yet so may have to before I do. ;)
