What a great idea for a thread :) I am still undesided on showing, but have been thinking about using a big old wardrobe I have in the shed for training cages, I thought if I took the whole front off it & used the doors as the shelves & sides & all I would need is the cage fronts.

The other thought is to do the wardrobe thing again, leave the doors on, put shelves in & fronts. Hinges so the top & bottom 1/2 of the front are independent of each other then each is able to open seperatley, the top would lift up for easy access & unlatch the bottom for easy cleaning, vent holes in the sides & fit heater lights, cords through the side into a power board, shut the doors when finished & wella a 3 or 4 tier brooder. All just ideas at the moment for small hatches of different ages. :)

goodness
i was thinking of using wardrobes as hen housing
the doors would be held shut and on the back cut an opening for the birds to enter and put sticks for perching and at each end nesting boxes.
if that makes sense

my dad wanted a light coop, strong enough to stop a dog, yet light to mow the lawn and he made a cube...
out of... polypipe?
I was stunned, and 9 months later it is still doing well, it is made from some old polypipe we had and the leftover chook wire.. (the snake proof stuff-of course)
also I made a metal coop for the trio (now duo) and it is made out from the offcuts of the shed..
making things runs in the family :)
and is good fun.

I will attatch pics soon... (as soon as I resize)

thanks,

Philip

Have no idea what you are talking about, as I can't see any election propaganda! But it looks like a job well done a_bravo.gif

At the end of the day, does it really matter?
