I think it would be very helpful to the thousands that use and view the forum if we posted our guinea fowl eggs fertility this breeding season

We can then compare to next season and beyond

My current fertility is 96% overall

Interesting the
Cinnamons are at 100% including the pieds
Silver are at 98% also including the pieds

This is slightly higher than the common lavenders

1 female lavender had 11 eggs and she hatched 11 chicks so 100% woohoo!! I was so happy they all came out

Ok so far 98.4.5.6.7.8.1.2% fertility with a polyfertile probability :lol: sidesplit.gif

Sorry could not resist after reading something that complete tool made up and copy/pasted elsewhere :roll:

Seriously so far 99% for all with 19 silvers out and 27 cinnamons out all strong and healthy as expected. Still have dozens of eggs to set so big year coming up!!!! woohoo4

So far about 95% from mine and yep the cinnamons and silvers are filling all the eggs 100% and plenty of them woohoo4

Candled my eggs yesterday and looks like 90% are fertile now to see how many hatch conf665

My first eggs I was very disappointed as it worked out at 85% so I hope the next lot make the standard 90% plus or I will be embarrassed again

My first nest for 2012 of my lavender pieds is 25 eggs and 22 keets so I am over the moon now the big question how many will survive
