How close a breeding can I go safely without getting defects when it comes to in breeding, it is something I have never tried.

You can breed brother and sister ONCE and mother and son / father and daughter without any problems I have done it more times than I can remember and EVERY chick was great

Are great because a few are closely related and I was hoping to try my hand at some line breeding and see what happens

Yes I used a completely unrelated male after a mother and son pairing and then mixed the two lines together to get good painted pieds it works as they say

Yes as funkeets wrote you run 2 lines or 3 as I do then inter breed the 2 or 3 lines to breed perfection and it works with the new colours

If you read PA's article on genetics of breeding you will see that was 1 of the keys for him developing the White, Cream, Blue, and Cinnamon Dark Eye and for the latest colours like You do have the required permissions to view and You do have the required permissions to view but I did like the twist in those pairings in table 12 and why no one else has bred them :lol: very clever man [smilie=a_goodjobson.gif] a_bravo.gif
