Are the guinea fowl happy in a large cage like chickens and ducks or do they really need the wide open spaces like most keep them

Mine are locked away 24/7 and they seem happy and alive which would not be the case if they were out side

Aside from the Guinea Fowl's interests and whether or not they'd be happy, make sure you check with your local council first - they are quite noisy birds and you may find they are restricted in your local council area.

Also make sure you're on good terms with your neighbours - whilst my guineas' noise doesn't bother me at all, we have absolutely no neighbours for it to upset. They chatter all day, every day and quite loudly. Some neighbours may not be happy with you keeping them in your backyard.
