If you have 2 pearl GF what colour offspring can you expect ?

Do you need 1 parent to be a certain colour for that colour to be produced or do they all carry the std colour genes :)

thank you in advance :)

It depends on if the Pearls are split for pied or lavender or cinnamon? or if they are true pearls and NOT split?

I have 3 pearl adults and hatched a egg from them in the incubator and it looks like a lavender.

Can type a longer reply now I am not on my phone LOL

From my limited knowledge the 3 adults are just plain coloured pearls, one has some larger white spots on the underside but other than those they just look like ordinary pearl.

They have been laying eggs off and on and I was able to collect a couple they discarded in the chook house and incubate them.
The one that hatched looks like a lavender so I was wondering if they can produce different colours without a parent being that colour.
I imagine they can but I only know horse genetics not birds :)

Are there any books or online sites where I can read a bit more about it?

Thanks
