A fox got one of my females and 5 babies (a week old) the male and other female and 2 babies survived. They were being such good parents too staying close by . I have now locked the male and female and 2 babies up in a secure run. Have bought a trap and plan to electrify around the chicken runs. One way or another I will get the bloody thing. Am concerned about the others who roost up on the top of the chicken wire (we have bamboo poles all along the tops) hopefully the fox won't climb up before I can get the electric sorted. I have electric for the horses and it has a big kick just have to install the wires around the runs.

Any trapping tips ?

Thanks guys. We caught a feral cat in the fox trap, hoping that he was the culprit

I assumed that my declining poultry population was because of foxes also until I caught the biggest healthiest feral cat that I have seen during the week. I suppose a diet of 1 turkey, 2 roosters, 2 hens and 4 silkies in the last 3 months would have anything looking healthy.

I thought that the guinea fowl would be safe perched in a tree of a night but now am not so sure.
