So i was wondering what would i need to breed him with to get more cinnie guineas (lavender, pearl), or what would produce the strongest splits to then breed back to the father?

Breed him to a silver/Lavender hen then breed the cinnamon cockbird back to the daughters and you will get a % of cinnamons :-D

[smilie=thanks.gif] Ace Ventura

I have plenty of lavender gilries that i can put in with him.

A few questions:

Are the cinnamons ressesive or sexlinked?

What will the other %age of chicks be, that the father over the daughters will produce? Will they be like double split or something like that?

What would i get if i put him over normal girls?

What is the reason i should put him over lavender?

so i got the male on sunday and put him with his lavender girls.

i had a clutch of guinea fowl that was due to hatch on friday the eggs are from 18 or so guinea fowl which are pearl and lavender (and pied in both forms)
the incubation went well and i got home mondy and there were nine little chicks in the bator, they were 4 pearl, 4 pearl pied, and 1 lavender pied.
during the night more hatched out and when i woke in the morning there were two little cinnamon chicks!!! a_partyguy.gif a_bravo.gif :-D ;) :) th_clap.gif a_partyguy.gif

so are their brothers and sisters possibly carring the ressecive gene?

should i put ALL the adult girls in with the new cinnamon male in case a coulple carry the cinnamon gene?

Is it true the cinnamon develops eye problems and goes blind at 2 or 3 years of age?
