My 2 wyandottes are moulting badly but all other girls are fine. Is it because they have been too hot . There haven't been any unusual occurrences . They are quite chirpy tho. Thanks |

Some on my he are moulting now I think its normal for some breeds to noult this time of year |

My wyandottes are also in a big moult feather everywhere looks like there was a chicken massacre here |

Some birds moult harder than others it isn’t always a breed specific thing = more a bird specific thing and they can start early Summer thru to early Autumn = again bird dependant Not a chook (hen) but is a 'hen' as in turkey and will give an idea of just how many feathers can go when a bird has a heavy moult = she looked terrible for a few weeks after 'extreme moulting' ![]() ![]() ![]() |
