I imagine it would be very cool. Could give the poor chook a heart attack, or at least piles, to sit on that.

Ooh a nasty thought PP. wouldn't wish it upon any of our chookies. Anyway, as for ceramic eggs, I found mine at the local garden centre. They were $1.95 each. I bought two in the hope that Peaches would lay in the egg box, but it made no difference at all. Peaches has only just started consistently laying in the egg box. She started once the other girls laid in the egg box. She just needed the other girls to show her what to do. |

My elderly great, great great aunt from the "Old Country", she kept chickens in the "Old Country" before the war, or rather wars. She had a crystal bowl on her dining table full of the decorated wooden and marble eggs from years gone by and I got one marble egg because I have chookies. She had these hand embroidered linen table cloths and matching napkins and baked these amazing tortes and now she is in a nursing home. |
