the poor little sweeties. Chookies are creatures of habit and their whole world has been turned upside down. New people, new room with a new view and they are full of uncertainty. You are doing the right thing. Spend time with them, cuddle them, talk to them and feed them some treats. They love silverbeet and other greens. Maybe they don't like straw either. One of my girls scratches it out of the nest box and then out into the pen. Maybe you could try wood shavings. Could you free range the old girls with the newbies for a couple of hours. Keep an eye on them just to make sure they aren't hurt by the older girls.
