So is using kero not a good idea anymore? we used to soak them in it for 30 seconds and no more scaly mites |

Kero is one of the "old-school" treatments which to be honest is pretty drastic, especially when less toxic products are now available. However, it would probably still work. I would warn against using it if there were any sores or wounds exposed. I would choose not to use kero but each to their own. |

I was told to mix up half kerosene and half raw linseed oil then get a small brush and paint their legs once a week for 4 weeks then again once a month for 3 months? |

Thats an old type of treatment there are better way these days and less toxic to the bird |
