I think the other way I think a basic colour to start with so they are not going to loose points for markings ect.. hence why white makes a better choice for my kids less for them to worry about and more fun

I started with white wyandotte bantams and they were a great start to the show world for me never one a major with them but plenty of blue cards

I think the white make sense as its not a complicated colour and less to judge on

My young bloke started with Pekin ducks and after 2 years he now has Appleyards and Anconas but he did learn much from the Pekins

This is great for the kids who want to start with some show fowls and being a all ages friendly forum I have let them spend as much time as they like.

welcomtogroup.gif Lance and family its good to do your research on sites to make sure they are suitable for all ages and friendly. APF is the only poultry forum in australia that I know of suitable for all ages. Some are far from suitable viewtopic.php?f=6&t=52973 & viewtopic.php?f=26&t=50427
