does any 1 have a fav poultry ,cage bird book or magazines that they would recommened as good reading

a guide to pigeons ,doves and quails
austrailaisan poultry

theres heaps more but i forget the names

AUSTRALASIAN POULTRY MAGAZINE and its got a great article about the myths sorrounding peafowl in it this month , The good thing about magazines is you can shove them in your bag to read at lunchtime when you go to work , unlike a computer , Ian

Yeah that was it what a brilliant article, did you also see the article in it about the peahen changing sex ??? I don't know about that one , But you never know , nature is a funny thing , I normally buy it it has some good articles Megg , is my favourite writer I have been reading her articles for years I think she also used to write for "grass roots magazine" another great mag, Ian

yes grass roots is good ,mum used to buy it so i have heaps to look thugh

ONe that is a little more technical but well worth reading with heaps of information on all breeds of chooks, ducks and geese is the Australian Poultry Standards.

Available for the VPFA.

Every serious breeder/shower should either have one or have acess to one :-D
