Always wanted an emu, if they were raised with chickens would they protect the flock from foxs ? We lost 2 chooks this arvo to a fox ! Cheers Lowey |

I'd LOVE to own an emu !!! how awesome would that be. They freak me out a little. well the ones at the local animal reserve here do... with all that deep drumming sounds and their giant beaks. But i still love them and they amazing to watch. I want a emu egg too !!! just to hollow it out and keep the shell. |

They people up the road used to have an emu farm, they were sold for meat, eggs, feathers etc |

Yes there are a few of those farms you can buy chicks from some for around $50 but you must have an advanced wildlife permit |
