Would it be ok to mix painted buttons with silver king quails in the same cage on a permanent basis?

No they need separate aviaries unless your aviary is massive and I mean massive over a few hundred sqft

Oh ok I was hoping you would say yes. Is it because they would breed together or fight?

Hi, can anyone also advise on whether you can keep regular Coturnix quails with Celadon Coturnix quails?

Thanks

NO

Celadon Quail carry the recessive gene (the celadon gene) which is why their eggs are blue

If you mix they will cross and pollute the Celadon gene and thats not good

I see. Totally under the breeding aspect.

Will they be okay if I only keep the hens for eggs?

I’m more concerned about whether they will fight each other at this stage.

Thanks
