I have put up some receipes for some main meals and desserts in a slow cooker. I think everyone has the receipe for pea and ham soup in a slow cooker so I won't put that up unless someone wants it.

I also cook my corn beef/silverside always in a slow cooker with some water, apple cidar vinegar, little brown sugar and cloves. Yummy.

I love winter as I get to use the slow cooker a lot and it is great as I am always so busy to get around to cooking dinner. I do all our casseroles and provincals in the slow cooker. I love stews, casseroles etc done in the slow cooker. soooooo tasty :-D :-D :-D :-D

I'd never thought of doing "dessert" type things in there. Thanks Rosemarie.

One item I use so much that I haven't bothered packing it away for a few months now is the sandwich press.

I use it for pancakes, hamburger patties, bacon, cheese toast, eggs, anything that can fit. Me and Miss Five used it this afternoon to make pancakes. I added too much water to the premix, so I added some Greens Chocolate Muffix Mix and shook it up some more. Mmmm...scrumptious.

For soft stuff like eggs, pancake mix, etc, I place a non-stick egg ring in the centre to keep the top bit from putting weight on the egg or mix or whatever. I don't cook anything inside the egg ring.

Works great and being non-stick, a quick wipe and it's ready to use again.
