I find it interesting that the event was featured on Gardening Australia last weekend, with Australasian Poultry's Jess Miller going along to the auction with the presenter to explain how it all works. 426 cages of birds there, most with 2 birds or more in them.
If Jessamy says it's an ok auction, that's enough endorsement for me.

Andrew

Miller from australasian poultry magazine should show some gratitude for this forum has given away more subscriptions for the photo comp than ANY one else. I am yet to ever read a thank you from Miller in her poxy magazine. I stop buying it years ago because she never printed a thank you

Yes Im sure the old forum owners gave out over 14 subscriptions to that magazine as prizes for the photo comps (that's 14 more than ANY other web site) and they advertised in it also but never a thank you from them. I too have not bought one in years and wont again

That is so generous of apf to give so many free subscriptions away they should have kissed apfs arse and thanked to lord that sort of help and publicity is priceless for a small backyard magazine.
