Rotating your worming products is a very good idea a_bravo.gif

We can only get Piperazine at our local stockfeed.

I have been using 24 hour garlic infused water, then Apple Cider Vinger infused water in my chooks water in between chemical wormings at full moons.

I recently came across in the next BIG township, Aristropet's worm enda Poultry Wormer for the treatment of Levamisole-sensitive large roundworm, Caecal worm and Hair worms and wonder if works.

Thank you, kindly 52.gif

That depends on what worm is recognised, the number of birds, type of birds, time of year and whether or not a wittholding period is an issue.
The wormers I mentioned above as suitable would all be in my arsenal at different times.
If you want to suggest a scenario I can suggest an appropriate wormer.

This would be your best answer or find a more broad wormer if possible

The levamisole based drug is suitable to use but under certain conditions.
Firstly, how many chickens, can they be handled, do you eat the eggs or birds??

I have one cockerel and two pullets and we only eat the eggs. Are the eggs safe to eat after worming them?

You can use the levamisole but it won't treat for all worms. If the weather is hot, catching up and direct dosing is safer than in water medication (as they may drink an excessive dose in hot wetaher). There will usually be a cage bird individual dose on the bottle. That dose is fine for poultry. Wittholding period for levamisole on eggs is nil, and 7 days on meat.

Thank you, kindly, dannyB, 52.gif

Your added information on Levamisole is very helpful.

Is there a recommended worm treatment for turkeys? I haven't noticed any worms at all, but I've read that regular worm treatment is important in poultry.

Nilverm Pig and Poultry Wormer should do the trick
For treatment of Large Roundworm (Ascaridia galli), Caecal Worm (Heterakis gallinae), and Hairworm (Capillaria spp.)
