Thanks Pete i am due to worm. How often do u repeat it? as there is nothing about chooks on the bottle

With others i have spoken to around 12 weeks between doses seems to be average for worming but with treating for bugs, especially bad cases of stick fleas, i've had to retreat after 8 weeks.

Just in case anyone has trouble getting the ivomec, I use Moxidectin which I buy from Knox Bird Clinic. After reading this thread it sounds like it might be more expensive than the Ivomec, but it may be an option if people are stuck. It has the same active ingredient. You phone up the clinic (contact details: http://www.auspigeonco.com.au/) and pay with your credit card and they post it to you. I think I bought 100ml for $36.50 but that included postage. You put 5ml in 1 litre and they drink it. Works just the same.

I acquired some Ivermectin on Saturday, as did the elusive kam31.

I don't have the bottle as I sacrificed a small bottle of rum essence to put my share in there.

First, how much should I use in my rum balls (Ivermectin balls)?

Second...as i recall the bottle said 5mg/L. Man that is diluted. It must be super strong stuff before being prepared. That might explain the price variations, too. Those HIGH prices might be for higher concentrations.

It is the consistency of water, but oily between fingers, smells like alcohol and is blue in colour.

Is that the same one everyone else is referring to?

P.S. - How much do I use to make my marshmallow bunnies blue? :lol:

Its ivomec 250ml bottle and comes in a brown box with a bulls head on the front.

I'm working of these doses as they seem to be what is recommended.

What i want to know is how does the stockfeed near my house have the right to charge $270 for the exact same thing i paid $49 for :?:

Sounds to me like they think they have the market cornered down here, it works out far cheaper for me to drive to gatton and get some.

Finally remembered to ring the vet today and yep ivomectin is fine to use on dogs and cats. Just redo the ratio to the mls per kg of body weight

It will cost me far less to do the cats and dog now that i have some, it cost me $60 every couple of months for them, now i can do them and the choox for a lot less [smilie=a_bigteeth.gif]
