What do you think of this?

Research shows garlic essential oil may be an effective preventative and possible a curative for the treatment of external parasites. Hens affected by mites (in a controlled situation) had their vents sprayed with a 10% solution of garlic juice and water, once a week for three weeks. In the fourth week, hens were scored for the presence of northern fowl mites on their skin and feathers. Significantly fewer mites were found on the birds treated with garlic juice, versus those that received no treatment. The research indicated topical application of garlic juice to the skin of hens may be another effective way to decrease mite numbers.

I think that garlic has many natural health benefits for both humans and animals. Spraying them with a garlic solution certainly would not harm them as would a nasty chemical.

That info in spot on with the benefits its excellent for those dam feather mites too I use it all yearround and I think my hens are healthier than ever before

I say you would use a small amount of the garlic juice mixed with water in a hand garden sprayer and spray the chook's.

That's OK ww, an occasional bit of garlic finely chopped and add to feed or healthy treats, or garlic infused water for natural worming, or diluted garlic juice sprayed on your chooks for mite control, really shouldn't harm your chooks and I think as with humans, garlic in moderate doses should be rather beneficial for wellbeing.

I just chop fresh garlic and add to the water I think fresh is the best way to go for good strength
