Sent two seperate packages recently interstate(NSW) All ok. So I received a parcel today with GPH & SPH and yolk escaping from parcel before I even opened it. They really need a wakeup call down there about respect for people's property. What business can you have where you ruin people's property and have no recompense save Australia Post? Damn irritating as well as expensive. #$%&*@! repeated over and over. [smilie=bump.gif]

Sorry to hear about your eggs.
The couriers around my area sent me someone elses parcel. Luckily they were just around the corner although I know not many people would be honest enough to deliver the parcel to the correct address.

GPH = Gold Pencilled hamburgs, SPH = Silver Pencilled Hamburgs. Not the fault of the sender. Lovely to deal with. So difficult to get eggs when you want them, hard to find most times. For those that don't knowthe fowl, check it on www.feathersite.com

Local Postmaster has told me that it is illegal to post eggs & that the only allowed biological materials that can be sent by post are queen bees and insect lava. So no compensation even if registered mail. I guess we are lucky so many get through in good condition. Very disappointing for you Frank, condolences.

Thanks Rocky. Funny that though. Everyone is using post for eggs. Up front and blatant. They like to take the money and never refuse the taking of the package. Every time I go to a different post office, there is a some muttering of how the parcels are supposed to be packed. So I take it, maybe not illegal as to a particular way they want it done? Who knows. Ask another office, get another answer.

I don't think they care as long as they get the cost of postage and things are packed ok and not going to roll around and break open in transit.

You know the old saying, money talks and BS walks etc etc

I used fastways to transport fish, technically they're supposed to be quarintined when crossing interstate.
However many were already quarantined after being imported from Thailand and quick deliveries were essential for survival.
